You don’t need to know exactly what you want
Many families worry about not knowing what to include or what a ceremony should look like. That’s completely normal.
I will guide you through each stage, helping you make decisions at a pace that feels comfortable, offering suggestions where needed and making sure the ceremony reflects the person at its heart.
How it works, step by step
1. Getting in touch
You can contact me directly, or ask your funeral director to get in touch with me. I’ll confirm I’m available for your date and arrange a time to talk.
2. Our first conversation
The first conversation is simply a chance for us to talk. We’ll meet at your home, by video call or by phone – whichever suits you – and take our time. You’ll tell me about your loved one – their character, the people and places they loved, the stories you’d like to share – and we’ll talk about the kind of ceremony you’d like, including any music, readings, hymns, poems or personal touches.
3. Shaping the ceremony
I’ll write the ceremony around their story and share a draft with you. You’ll have the chance to read it, suggest changes and make sure every word feels right.
4. On the day
I’ll arrive early, work alongside the funeral director and venue, and lead the ceremony with calm and care. Leaving you to be present with the people around you.
5. Afterwards
After the ceremony, I’ll send you a keepsake copy of the ceremony to treasure and share with family – beautifully printed, or as a digital copy if you prefer.
Working with your funeral director
I’m happy to work with any funeral director across Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire. If you’ve already chosen one, simply let them know you’d like me to lead the ceremony and they will be in touch with me. I’ll liaise with them on timings and arrangements, so there is one less thing for you to think about.
